Anuncio del curso "Statistical Methods for mRNA-Seq and ChIP-seq using Bioconductor"

El departamento de bioinformática del Centro de investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF) de Valencia organiza este curso el 10 de Noviembre, cuesta 500 euros.

The short course will provide an overview of statistical methods and software for the analysis of next generation sequencing (NGS) data, with emphasis on transcriptome analysis (mRNA-Seq) and the study of DNA-protein interactions (ChIP-Seq). The morning lectures on statistical methodology will be followed by afternoon lab sessions demonstrating the application of the methodology to mRNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq data using R software packages from the Bioconductor Project (www.bioconductor.org).

The course will be taught by Bioconductor developeprs from the Division of Biostatistics, School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley and has been organized in collaboration with the Department of Bioinformatics of the CIPF. The course is especially suited to bioinformaticists and advanced users of bioinformatic tools interested in dealing with NGS data. It is also strongly recommended to personnel in charge of data analysis in core facilities implementing NGS.
